Petroleum prices likely to go up by Rs10
Islamabad: The federal government is likely to increase petroleum prices by Rs10 for the month of August, GNN reported on Thursday.

A working paper in this regard has been finalized which has proposed Rs6.90 per litre increase in petrol prices while an increase of Rs10.02 has been recommended in diesel prices.

Furthermore, the government has been asked to increase prices of kerosene oil by Rs5.80, besides proposing a surge of Rs6 in light diesel price.

It further emerged that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has not sent a summary to the government while a final decision in this regard will be made by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The new prices will come into effect from August 1 if the raise is approved by the prime minister.
