Govt had to take tough measures to restore economy affected by Covid: Hafeez
Islamabad: Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh has said that the government had to take tough decisions to restore economy affected by coronavirus pandemic.

While addressing a ceremony in Karachi on Saturday, he said that government has repaid five thousand billion rupees debt during the last two years.

“Rs. 5000 billion debts repaid during last two years. We are trying our level best to provide investment friendly atmosphere in the country,” he said.

The Finance Advisor further said that government paid special attention to revive marginalized sections of economy.

“Government has made efforts in full swing to help downtrodden segments of the society. Ehsaas programme was also launched in this regard to provide relief to people,” he said.
