Govt decides to not raise petroleum prices
Islamabad: Petroleum prices for the remaining 15 days of September will not changed as the federal government has rejected proposed raise on Tuesday.

Ministry of Finance in a statement said that the prices of petroleum products will now be changed bimonthly.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) had asked the ministry to increase petroleum prices by Rs5 per litre.

It had recommended Rs3.75 per litre surge in the price of petrol and Rs4.55 in the price of diesel.

On August 15, Prime Minister Imran Khan had also rejected recommendations made by Ogra regarding an increase in petroleum prices.
