Government ready to drop ‘petrol bomb’ on inflation-hit nation
Islamabad: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended increase in petroleum products amid rising inflation.

According to sources, OGRA has sent a summary to the Ministry of Petroleum, recommending Rs. 11 increase in the prices of petroleum products.

The new prices will come into effect after Prime Minister Imran Khan’s approval.

OGRA has suggested an increase of Rs. 11.95 per liter in the rates of petrol and Rs. 9.57 in price of diesel.

The final decision on prices of petroleum products will be taken by Ministry of Finance after consultation with Prime Minister.

Last month, government hiked the price of petrol by Rs2.31 per litre across Pakistan after PM’s approval.
