Asad Umar says IMF program will be completed soon
Washington: Finance Minister Asad Umar said on Thursday that the program with IMF will be completed soon.
Addressing a ceremony at the Pakistan Embassy in Washington DC, the finance minister said that all economic reforms are already in place.
Earlier, Asad Umar had lead a delegation comprising of State Bank Governor Tariq Bajwa, Finance Secretary Younas Dagha, and Economic Affairs Secretary Noor Ahmed, which held meetings with high ranking officials of both the IMF and the World Bank.
During his speech, Asad Umar also denied rumors of his impending departure, saying “I am not going anywhere,” adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan had told him that the country needed him.
