Absence of anti-rabies vaccine claims life of Sharagarh minor
Shakargarh: In yet another hapless incident, a minor on Wednesday succumbed to dog-bite injury in Lahore’s Mao Hospital.

As per details garnered, 8-year-old Amanullah was on his way to home when he was bitten by dog. The victim was rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Shakargarh.

However, Amanaullah’s condition deteriorated due to absence of anti-rabies vaccine and doctors recommended his father to shift the victim to Lahore at earliest.

Unfortunately, the 8-year-old succumbed to dog-bite injuries few hours after his arrival at Mao Hospital.

Talking to media, the father of the deceased stated if timely treatment had been provided, his son would have been saved.

It is pertinent here to mention that countrywide uproar had erupted after video of minor—injured by dog-bite—died in his mother’s arms as there was no anti-rabies vaccine present in Larkana’s hospital. Later, a report prepared by Sindh govt's fact-finding committee claimed that the hapless boy had not died of lack of vaccine. Rather, delay in treatment was announced cause of the death.
