DI Khan: Two terrorists killed in CTD operation

Dera Ismail Khan: At least two terrorists were killed in a search operation carried out by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in DI Khan, GNN reported.

According to CTD official, an operation was conducted in Bagoni area of Dera Ismail Khan during which two terrorists were killed in exchange of fire with CTD personnel.

The killed terrorists were identified as Naveed and Waqar. "The killed terrorists were involved in several cases of terrorism", CTD spokesperson said.

Apart from kidnapping for ransom and target killings, these terrorist were wanted in attacks on sensitive installations.

Yesterday, Terrorists attacked a Police check post in the jurisdiction of Saddar police station, DI Khan.

According to details, as many as 10 to 12 terrorists, riding motorcycles attacked Pota check-post with latest weapons including rocket launchers.

In retaliatory fire by the police personnel deployed at the post, the terrorists fled the scene.

The attack caused partial damage to the post. However, no loss of life was reported.

Following the attack, dozens of suspects were taken into custody by the police in search operation in the adjoining areas of the post.

Further investigation into the matter was underway.
