Mismanagement at Peshawar zoo causes death of several animals
Peshawar: Lack of management and poor facilities have led to the death of several animals in Peshawar zoo.

The sudden deaths of several exotic animals have raised a wave of questions against the zoo management of Peshawar.

According to details, around eighteen animals died in nine months after suffering from various diseases.

As per Peshawar zoo administration, they lost three wild cats due to improper caging facility. Moreover, one deer and one bear died succumbed to the injuries followed by fellow animal attack.   

Where one zebra and one markhor died after hitting their heads on the cage, one cheetah and three giraffe passed away after suffering from liver issues and diarrhea.

One hyena was also found dead in its cage and was reportedly suffering from a tumor.

In June, a three-year-old giraffe was found dead at the Peshawar Zoo in mysterious circumstances making it third death of the African animal occurred in the zoo during the last one month.
