Smart lockdown imposed in six union councils of Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A smart lockdown has been imposed in six union councils of Hyderabad to control spread of the coronavirus.

According to details, district government has implemented a smart lockdown in 17 areas of six union councils of Hyderabad as country experiences second wave of Covid-19.

The areas include Qasimabad, Nasim Nagar, Citizens Colony, Latifabad, Bhuttai Town and Gulistan-e-Sajjad.

The entry and exit points of these areas have been sealed and people will be allowed to leave homes only in case of emergency. Face masks have also been made mandatory in public. Businesses of essential services including grocery stores and pharmacies will remain open.

The lockdown will last until December 05.

Pakistan has reported 34 coronavirus deaths and 2,756 new positive cases in one day.

According to National Command and Control Center (NCOC), around 2,756 cases of coronavirus were reported while 34 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 7,696.

The total number of confirmed cases reached to 376,929.
