The Legend of Maula Jatt likely to hit cinemas this year as lawsuits withdrawn
Lahore: Sarwat Bhatti, the original producer of Punjabi movie Maula Jatt, has reportedly decided to withdraw cases against The Legend of Maula Jatt, paving way for the embattled movie to hit the screens soon.

In 2017, Bhatti had moved the court against the latest version produced by Bilal Lashari and Ammara Hikmmat, claiming violation of copyrights.

An official confirmation for the release of the movies is yet to be made by the producer of the film Ammara Hikmat and Lashari.

Bhatti said that they can release the film on Eid-ul-Fitr or later, adding that he will support it.

“Ammara Hikmat and Bilal Lashari are like my children. Someone misguided them however all kids tend to make mistakes and therefore I am willing to put everything behind me. I am doing this for their welfare, for the revival of cinema and for giving the much needed boast to Pakistan film industry. I will no longer be a hurdle in the release of The Legend of Maula Jatt. Ammara Hikmat and Bilal Lashari can release their film on Eid-ul-Fitr or on any date they would like to release the film. I will support them,” Bhatti was quoted as saying by Entertainment Pk.
