Twenty-five years after Nirvana vocalist Kurt Cobain died in an apparent suicide, he is being remembered by fans across the globe.
  
In Seattle, where Nirvana gave birth to grunge music, fans left flowers, messages and candles at Virretta Park near the house where the music icon ended his life by turning a shotgun on himself.
 
Cobain, along with his band Nirvana, rose to global fame in the 1990s. Though he committed suicide at age 27, the singer left an indelible impression on the world of music.
