IT Chapter 2 to premier in theatres next month
IT was the highest grossing horror film in recent times after earning $117 million on its first weekend. Director Andy Muschietti is very proud of the work his team has put in to make the upcoming horror film.
“I had a relentless and inspired crew who believed in this adventure as much as I did, and a cast that put their heart and soul behind every second of performance,” he wrote on Instagram.
The sequel will continue from the previous part and has a run-time of 2 hours and 45 minutes. The director revealed in an interview that the original edit of the film was four hours long.
Jessica Chastain plays the female lead in IT Chapter 2 and she talked about the film on Jimmy Fallon.
“I’m going to say something and I think I’m gonna be in trouble but I’m gonna do it. It might be a spoiler, but in the movie there’s a scene…someone said on set that it’s the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film…in a scene,” she explained.
The screenwriter Gary Dauberman, who is well known for writing classic horror films Anabelle, Anabelle: Creation and The Nun, explains the film as satisfying and heartbreaking.
