Not afraid of accountability if it’s in accordance with law: Ghani
Islamabad: Provincial Minister of Sindh, Saeed Ghani has said that his party is not afraid of accountability if it’s done in accordance with law.

While addressing a press conference in Islamabad alongside Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani, he said that this government is following the policy of revenge politics.

The provincial minister stated that in order to hide their own incompetency, this government is targeting political opponents.

Those who criticize government are charged with NAB references. This shows that they can blame anyone at anytime,” he said.

Saeed Ghani added that there are inquiries against PTI leaders yet they are roaming free.

“Many of PTI leaders are going through inquires. Why they are not arrested? Why are only opposition members serving jails without evidences?” the PPP leader said adding that accountability should be done on collective basis

Speaking on NAB’s raid in Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani house he said that PPP’s leaders are being harassed by the government.

“The way Aijaz Hussain’s house was raided is indeed condemnable. Aijaz had requested the election tribunal for recounting in his constituency. Maybe the raid in his house was conducted to keep him silent,” Ghani said.

Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani, addressing the presser, said that there is a case running against him since last 2 years and nothing so far had been done in this regard.

“Since they are unable to find any proof against me, they are using these pressure tactics. All inquiries and investigations against me are based on political enmity. My opponents know they can’t win an election against me, therefore, they are resorting to these tactics,” Jakhrani said.

He added that his case will be heard by court on October 9 where it will be decided whether or not recounting would be done in his constituency.
