Several arrested as Police, traders face off in Islamabad
Islamabad: Police on Wednesday arrested several people after traders tried to cross the barrier to stage protest outside headquarters of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), GNN reported.

As per details garnered, traders were staging protest rally against the new policies of the tax-collection body.

Police resorted to baton charge to stop traders while protesters pelted stones at the security officials. Heavy contingents of police have cordoned off the area near Serena Hotel.

On the other hand, Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IG) has issued notification regarding cancellation of holidays of the officials. The decision has been taken against the backdrop of prevailing law and order situation in the federal capital.
