Prime accused in Misbah murder case arrested - police
Karachi: Sindh Police on Wednesday arrested prime accused involved in the cold-blooded murder of a fourth-year medical student of Hamdard University Misbah Athar.

Athar was shot dead during a robbery bid in Gulshan-e-Iqbal last week.

District East SSP Ghulam Azfar Mahesar—while addressing a presser here in Karachi today, stated that the culprit has been identified as an Afghan origin man Muhammad Nabi. He further added that culprit was working as garbage collector in Karachi.

According to the SSP, the suspects are affiliated with a gang of Afghani-origin men involved in criminal activities in Karachi.

SSP added that Misbah Athar’s mobile phone—that was stolen during robbery—was also recovered from culprit’s possession.

Misbah was shot dead on October 3 during a robbery bid in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi. She was waiting for a university shuttle in car and she was accompanied by her father.
