Interior ministry decide to remove Nawaz Sharif's name from ECL
Islamabad: The interior ministry on Friday decided to remove former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL) owing to his medical treatment, GNN reported.

Nawaz’s name was placed on the no-fly list on the request of National Accountability Bureau.

The doctors at the Sharif Medical City Hospital have also recommended shifting the erstwhile premier abroad for treatment.

On the other hand, PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz said her father, Nawaz Sharif, must go anywhere around the world where his treatment is possible

She told that the PML-N supreme leader’s health is still very critical as his platelets count is not getting stable despite medication. Nawaz Sharif’s platelets dropped yesterday as well and doctors are not able to identify his disease, Maryam said.

Before his release on bail, the three times former prime minister had been serving jail term in Lahore's Kot Lakhpat jail.

It is pertinent to remember that on October 21, Nawaz Sharif was rushed to the hospital after his platelets dropped to a dangerously low level with doctors raising alarming concerns. Since then the former premier was under treatment at Service Hospital in Lahore with health fluctuating from stable to critical.

Two days earlier he was shifted from Services Hospital to his home in Jati Umrah where an Intensive Care unit (ICU) has been set up at his residence for further treatment.
