NAB summoned Akram Durrani again on November 12 after completion of the today’s interrogation.
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) central leader, who is currently heading the opposition’s Rehbar Committee, appeared before the anti-corruption watchdog today where he was questioned for illegal appointments during his tenure.
NAB investigators have questioned him for the appointment of 70 person belonging to his constituency on fake domicile in the housing ministry.
On November 4, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had extended bail of JUI-F leader till November 21.
The court asked the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to submit its reply in the bail plea, but the anti-graft watchdog body sought time in this context.
It is pertinent to remember that NAB initiated investigaion against him for owning more assets than his income affords him. He has also been accused of approving illegal appointments and allotment of land on which a mosque was supposed to be built.
