Will relinquish if rigging in general election proved: PM Khan
As per details garnered, Punjab Assembly Speaker, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, met premier here in Islamabad to take latter into confidence over progress in talks with Fazlur Rehman.
The premier expressed willingness to constitute judicial commission for probing alleged rigging in the general elections.
“We had submitted evidence of rigging first and when our stance was not taken seriously, staged a sit-in. There is a lot of difference between our sit-in and theirs’”, the premier was quoted as saying.
“We should avoid to set the precedent of resignation of the premier by bringing few thousands protesters in absence of any evidence”, maintained premier.
However, the premier made it overtly clear that he would not tender resignation in the absence of any evidence.
