Nawaz Sharif can travel abroad after submitting indemnity bond: Dr. Firdous
While talking to media in Islamabad today, she said that that guarantee was demanded to fulfill legal requirements.
“It is wrong to give it a political touch when all that was done on humanitarian grounds. The PML-N spokespersons are misleading the public over the issue of Nawaz Sharif. We are providing them relief and they should take advantage of that,” she said.
The special assistant added that the name of convict cannot be removed from Exit Control List (ECL).
“Prime Minister gave priority to humanity in Nawaz Sharif’s case. Shehbaz Sharif should put his ego aside and take decision keeping in mind former prime minister’s health. Even our first priority is Nawaz Sharif’s health and recover,” she said.
It is pertinent to note here that Federal Cabinet’s subcommittee had decided to allow Nawaz Sharif to travel abroad for treatment for a time period of four weeks on one-time condition after submitting an indemnity bond of Rs. 7 billion.
