ECP dismisses petition seeking Talpur’s disqualification
Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has dismissed the petition seeking disqualification of PPP leader Faryal Talpur.

According to details, a two-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner heard the petition of Faryal Talpur, who is the sister of Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

Faryal Talpur’s lawyer, Farooq Naek appeared before bench and raised concerns over ECP’s jurisdiction in the case.

After hearing arguments, the commission dismissed the case because of the prosecution’s continuous absence from the hearings.

It is noteworthy that PTI’s Arsalan Taj had filed the petition seeking Faryal Talpur’s disqualification for allegedly hiding assets.

Talpur was elected as an MPA from PS-10 Larkana-I.
