Barring Maryam Nawaz from meeting ailing father violation of human rights: Bilwal
Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday condemned the government for not allowing PML-N vice President Maryam Nawaz to go to London to meet her ailing father.

Talking to media, he said: “Barring Maryam Nawaz from going abroad to inquire about the health of his father is violation of human rights”.

He added that it should be asked from Maryam about her silence in this situation.

The daughter of the PML-N supremo has been making efforts to get permission to meet her father who is under treatment in London. Currently, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has fixed her another petition for hearing.

Bilawal also came hard on the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), saying that anti-graft buster served a notice whenever an announcement was made to launch protest against the government.

“NAB should think that is it autonomous institution?” he said.

The NAB, if it is impartial, should held those accountable who are in the power, he said, adding that wheat crisis engulfed the country for first time in ten years due to the incumbent government.

He also slammed the PTI government for failing to complete the BRT project in Peshawar.

“Have jails been set up for democratic politicians?” he questioned. “We will continue to struggle for economic justice,” he vowed.
