Islamabad: Senior anchor person Dr. Shahid Masood has said that nature intervenes when people are unable to make a decision.

While speaking in his show on GNN, he said that government did not impose lockdown on time.

“I was hopeful that our state would come up with a comprehensive strategy but unfortunately they were unable to make a decision. I foresee a lockdown and it is going to be a very strict one which would be imposed to save people,” he said.

Referring to the situation in Italy, Dr. Shahid said that they delayed lockdown and its consequences are in front of the whole world.

“Italy is unable to control its death toll till now,” he added.

The senior anchor further stated that it’s been a month since first Coronavirus case was reported in Pakistan.

“First case of Covid-19, Coronavirus was reported on February 26 and today is March 25. There is no record of those pilgrims who entered Pakistan before February 25. Dr. Zafar Mirza has also confirmed that 78% of cases in Pakistan are pilgrims arriving from Taftan who spread the virus locally,” he said.
