Balochistan govt announces new restrictions on Eid-ul-Fitr
Quetta: The Balochistan government announced to impose new restrictions on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, amid a nationwide wave of coronavirus.

According to the notification issued by the Balochistan Home Department, due to the spread of Coronavirus in different districts of the province including Quetta, the ban on visiting public places on Eid has been imposed.

The ban will apply to Bolan District, Ziarat, Hub, Lasbela Beach, Gwadar, Jeyoni and other places. The purpose of the ban is to prevent young children and women from sitting together and to maintain social distance.

Officials added that recreational areas in Quetta are also banned, while pillion riding on a motorcycle and more than two people inside a small vehicle are also banned in Quetta.

It is pertinent to remember that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases surged to 52,437 in Pakistan on Saturday, while the death toll stands at 1101.

According to National Command and Control Center (NCOC), more than 1,743 cases of coronavirus were reported while 34 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours.

As many as 16,653 patients have recovered from the disease, while the country is still witnessing a consistent rise in the COVID-19 cases.
