Iran issues arrest warrants for Donald Trump over top general’s murder
Tehran: Iran has issued arrest warrants against US President Donald Trump and 35 others it believes involved in the murder of a top Iranian general in Baghdad drone strike.

Tehran prosecutor Ali Alqasimehr said that the action has been taken against them as they are involved in killing of General Qassem Soleimani on January 3 earlier this year.

The official has not revealed the names of other suspects except Trump, who is on top of the list. He underlined that these people are accused of “murder” and conducting “acts of terrorism”.

Iran also sent a request to Interpol seeking issuance of “red notice” against Trump and other accused persons. It also seeks the location and arrest of the all suspects.

However, Interpol has not immediately responded to the Iranian request.

Alqasimehr vowed that Iran would continue to pursue case against Trump even after his tenure as the U President ends.

General Soleimani was the commander of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)Quds Force, and he played key role in fight against ISIS terrorists in the region.

He was killed in a US airstrike ordered by Donald Trump at Baghdad International Airport when he was coming back to Iran.
