Key aviation officials suspended over dubious licenses of pilots
Islamabad: Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has suspended its five officials over their alleged involvement in issuances of dubious licenses to pilots.

CAA Licensing Branch senior joint directors Asiful Haq and Faisal Mansoor, HR Supervisor Abdul Raees and assistants Adeel Aftab and Muhammad Adeel have been suspended.

All have been accused of providing assistance to candidates in tests and examinations for the issuances of licenses.

Members of board of inquiry officers will grill them.

The move comes days after Federal Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan revealed that there are 262 pilots with dubious licenses who are also working for PIA and private airlines.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) management has grounded 141 pilots with immediate effect.
