Shehbaz Sharif condemns govt over petrol, sugar price hike
Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President, Shehbaz Sharif has condemned the government over the consistent escalation of petrol, sugar prices in the country adding to problems for the public.

According to details, Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif said that this ‘tyrannical government’ is forcing the people to commit suicide

“Another petrol bomb has been dropped on people on the occasion of Eid. This government had already committed economic terrorism by hiking petrol price by Rs. 25 per liter last month.

He further said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) led incompetent and corrupt government has taken away the happiness of the people.

“The sale of sugar at Rs. 100 per kg is a proof that country is under mafia’s control. There cannot be a worse example of running a country without a vision, experience & capability!” he added further.

Earlier on Friday, the Ministry of Finance approved a raise in petroleum prices ahead of Eidul Azha.

According to notification, the government has increased petrol price by Rs3.86 litre to Rs103.97.

Price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs5 to Rs106.4 per litre, while Light Speed Diesel’s new price has reached Rs62.86 after a surge of Rs6.62 per litre.

The price of kerosene oil has been increased by over Rs5 to Rs65.29 per litre.

The new prices of petroleum products will be enforced from tonight at 12 AM.
