Motorway gang-rape victim identifies suspects, demands execution
Lahore: The victim in the horrific motorway gang-rape incident has identified the suspects after she was shown their pictures.

Police have arrested an accused Shafqat Ali while other key culprit, Abid Malhi is still at large.

The victim has demanded Prime Minister Imran Khan to execute both criminals.

Earlier today, an anti-terrorism court in Lahore handed over arrested suspect to police on 14-day judicial remand in the case.

Shafqat, who is a friend of Abid, was arrested from Dipalpur on September 14 in the light of revelations made by Waqar-ul-Hassan, who had surrendered before the police after he was named as suspect and denied the allegations.

Police parties are conducting raids to arrest Abid Malhi in different areas.

On September 9, a woman was travelling on Lahore-Sialkot motorway with her children when her car ran out of the fuel. She was waiting for help when two men appeared from the roadside and took her to the nearby forested area.

The suspect gang raped the woman in front of her children at the gunpoint and later took away her belongings including ATM cards, cash, jewllery and car registration card.

The case has gained public attention and calls are being made to execute the suspects publicly.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also said that the convicts in rape case should be hanged publicly or castrated.
