Pakistan witnesses sharp downturn in coronavirus deaths

Lahore: Pakistan on Wednesday has continued to witness a sharp drop in daily coronavirus deaths and infections as the country reported 4 deaths and 665 new cases, GNN reported.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases surged to 303,089 in Pakistan, while the death toll stands at 6393.

As many as 290,760 patients have recovered from the disease while 534 patients are reported to be in critical condition.



After sharp increase in the cases, the number of patients swelled to 97,946 in the province. The province reported 2220 coronavirus (COVID-19) causalities.



The cases of infection have surged to 132,591 in the province, the most affected region in Pakistan. The death toll has reached to 2448 in the province.


Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The confirmed cases have surged to 37,140 in the province. It is leading other regions with more causalities as toll has surged to 1257 in KPK.



There are 13,690 confirmed cases while 145 patients died of the infection so far.


AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

There are 3,297 coronavirus cases in the GB while 79 patients including a young doctor have died due to the infection. As many as 1566 people have recovered from the infection.

There are 2,441 cases in AJK while 66 deaths have been reported.



There are 15,984 cases in the capital city while 178 people have lost their lives.
