Government did not create any hurdle in PDM rally: Chohan
Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has said that government did not create any hurdle in Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally in Gujranwala.

In a statement, Chohan said that even after spending billions of rupees, opposition parties were unable to gather even 8,000 people.

“The political ‘Lucky Irani Circus’ of eleven parties has failed miserably. They were unable to gather 8,000 people even after spending Rs 1.03 billion,” he said.

He further stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan had gathered more people in United States than PDM did in Gujranwala.

“If we divide 8,000 by eleven, there were hardly 700 supporters of each party. Half-empty stadium indicated how people rejected opposition’s narrative,” he said adding that opposition should now appear before courts and accountability bureau.

The provincial minister stated that opposition should now return plundered wealth after facing defeat in the very first public meeting.

“Government did not create any hurdle in the rally of ‘Mix Achaar’ and they will not get an NRO,” he added.

Chohan added that Pakistan will continue to progress economically under the leadership of Imran Khan.

Earlier yesterday, PDM held first public gathering in Gujranwala against the incumbent government over what it calls bad governance and stealing elections in 2018.
