Decision made to crackdown on opposition on rallies issue: Imran Yaqub Khan
Senior analyst Imran Yaqub Khan has revealed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has made the decision to crackdown on opposition in order to prevent rallies.

"The decision has been made in Prime Minister House. On the matter pertaining to rallies in Lahore and Multan, opposition will be dealt with strictly and a crackdown will likely take place," he said on GNN's show 'Viewpoint'.

The veteran journalist also said that Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar and the Chief Secretary of the province have been instructed by Prime Minister House to form lists of the active people in opposition parties. "They have been instructed to arrest such party members and enforce a crackdown so that rallies cannot be held in the manner that they are being planned," he said.

Imran Yaqub Khan also revealed that the government in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa had refused to follow similar orders and had warned the federal government that such steps will result in dangerous consequences.
