By-poll on Balochistan Assembly seat PB-47 underway
Quetta: Polling is under way for the by-election on Balochistan Assembly seat PB-47, Kech-III.

Polling began at 8am and will continue till 5pm.

The seat fell vacant after Election Commission dismissed the election of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) candidate Abdul Rauf Rind in 2018 general election on dual nationality.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared all 60 polling stations extremely sensitive and levies force and Frontier Corps personnel have been deployed.

A public holiday has also been declared in Kech district by the provincial government owing to the by-election.
