OGRA recommends Rs. 9.50 per liter cut in fuel prices
Islamabad: Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday submitted a summary to the petroleum division recommending a cut down in fuel prices.

OGRA has recommended a Rs. 9.50 decrease in petrol price per liter, Rs15 decrease in high-speed diesel, Rs. 2 in light diesel, and 25 paisa in kerosene oil.

The summary has been forwarded to the government. The new price will be implemented from January 1, 2019.

The summary also refers to other petroleum products whose prices should be decreased under monthly readjustment formula.It is recommended that the rate of high speed diesel be decreased by Rs. 15 per liter and Kerosene oil Rs. 25 paisa per liter, while the rate of light diesel price proposed to be decreased by Rs. 2 per liter.

OGRA has submitted details of the proposed summary to the petroleum division and subsequently the decision over new prices will be taken after approval of the prime minister.
