Christchurch massacre: Pakistani Naeem Rashid hailed globally for saving others
As the world mourns the loss of 50 people killed in the attack, this Pakistani hero is being praised globally for his heroic act that saved many lives.
The terrorist attack carried out at the two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand on Friday.
Naeem Rashid tried to overpower the shooter – identified as 28-year-old Australian Brenton Tarrant, during a mass shooting at Al Noor mosque at Christchurch, which was live-streamed.
In his attempt to stop the terrorist, the hero was left badly wounded after he launched himself at the shooter to protect fellow worshippers at the mosque. He was rushed to hospital following the attack but passed away late on Friday night.
Naeem Rashid’s 21-year-old son, Talha was also among the victims of the Christchurch shooting victims.
