Asif Zardari to launch movement against PTI-led coalition govt after Eid
The PPP co-chairman made this announcement after appearing before accountability court here in Islamabad today.
Talking to media, Zardari opined that there was no difference between the amnesty schemes introduced in the past and the one introduced by the incumbent government. He added, “Those who are in possession of ill-gotten money will get it whiten through amnesty scheme.”
Replying to a question, Zardari once again reiterated that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and economy can’t function side by side.
Earlier today, Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted interim bail to former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur in two of the ongoing inquiries, including Opal 225 and Park Lane, against them till June 12.
On the other hand, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Zardari has filed a pre-arrest bail application in the IHC, seeking its directives for barring the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting him in an ongoing investigation into Haresh and Company case.
The petition states that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Asif Zardari on Thursday for probe in a company case where his arrest may take place, hence, the court may accept the tabled plea in order to bar NAB from making the arrest.
