NAB to seek Hamza Shehbaz’s physical remand today
Lahore: The accountability court on Wednesday granted the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) 14-day physical remand of Leader of the Opposition in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz in Ramzan Sugar Mills reference.

Accountability court judge Jawadul Hassan announced the decision and ordered that Hamza Shehbaz be presented before the court again on June 26.

Amid Hamza Shehbaz’s court appearance, strict security measures were placed. The roads going to the judicial complex were closed by putting barbwires.

On Tuesday, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested Hamza Shehbaz after the Lahore High Court had dismissed his bail petitions in three cases.

The two-member bench, comprising Justice Mazhar Ali Akbar Naqvi and Justice Shahid Waheed Khan, heard the petition as the PML-N leader appeared before the court amid strict security arrangements.

The PML-N leader was arrested from the premises of LHC.

A large number of PML-N workers were present outside the court and chanted anti-government slogans after the arrest of Hamza Shehbaz.
