PM Imran Khan to visit Karachi on July 10
Islamabad/Karachi: In bid to alleviate concerns of the business community, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and his revamped economic team are all set to visit Karachi, Pakistan’s economic hub, on July 10.

It was revealed by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail through Twitter.

During his stay in Karachi, PM will hold meetings with business community to take latter into confidence and a roadmap in this regard will also be discussed in detail.

“PM arriving Karachi along with his economic team tomorrow to meet and address concerns of businessmen, a roadmap will also be discussed in detail. Government is poised to increase business activities in Pakistan. Karachi being the hub of business has unique importance”, tweeted Ismail.

Against the backdrop of rising power tariffs, the meeting becomes immensely important.

Pakistan has agreed with the International Monetary Fund to further hike the electricity prices on quarterly adjustments basis by the end of the next month, an IMF report said on Tuesday.

According to the report, electricity prizes will be increased after every 3 months, also gas prizes will now not be determined by government.
