Nawaz Sharif provided asylum to fugitive Nasir But in PM House, reveals Arif Hameed Bhatti
Lahore: Senior investigative journalist Arif Hameed Bhatti on Thursday revealed that then Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif had offered and provided asylum to the Nasir Butt, who was at large, in the PM House.

The senior analyst made aforementioned startling revelation in GNN widely-watched show Bebaak.

“Nasir Butt had lived in the PM House when he was at large and wanted by law enforcement agencies in murder cases. Once, an officer wanted to arrest him [read Nasir Butt]. But he [read police officer] received call from the PM House warning him to turn a blind eye [in cases pertaining to Nasir Butt].

“Police officials were called and directed to dispose cases lodged against him [read Nasir Butt]”, revealed the senior anchorperson.

Mr. Bhatti lambasted dysfunctional NAB while inquiring about the recoveries that anti-graft body has made thus far. He revealed that every file of the case [to be lodged by NAB] was being sent first to Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif and former chairman of the body and to the courts later.
