Lahore: Senior investigative journalist Arif Hameed Bhatti on Sunday revealed that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari were making last-ditch but separate efforts to secure NRO.

The senior analyst made aforementioned revelation in GNN show Face To Face.

“Only leader-less rallies display capacity to end [the tenure] of the government. Incumbent opposition lacks the capacity as Nawaz and Zardari are making all-out but separate efforts to secure the NRO”, stated the seasoned analyst while adding, “Joint-opposition can’t succeed. Ostensibly, they [read opposition] hold huge protest rallies but they [read opposition] are not on the same page.”

Replying to another question, Mr. Bhatti added that no political party should be barred from holding peaceful rallies in the country. He said, “Those who halt rallies are serving nothing to democracy.
