FM calls Russian counterpart; briefs him about Kashmir crisis
Islamabad: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmud Qureshi has called his Russian counterpart and briefed him about the crisis in Indian occupied Kashmir.
Talking to Sergei Lavrov, the Foreign Minister said that India's actions were against the resolutions of United Nations Security Council resolutions. He also said that such actions could jeopardize peace and security in the region. He also said that India could try to take attention away from human rights violations in the occupied valley by conducting an operation.
The phone call was part of the government's initiative to brief world leaders about the unfolding crisis in Indian occupied Kashmir.
