We are fully capable to defend the rights of Kashmiri people: FM
In his message on Defense and Martyrs Day, he said that the whole nation is expressing solidarity with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi added that Pakistanis and Kashmiris categorically reject the Indian illegal and unilateral actions in Occupied Kashmir.
The Foreign Minister also visited the house of martyred Captain Junaid Irfan Abbasi to pay tribute to the brave son of soil.
“Our borders are safe because of brave solders like Captain Junaid. Our history is marked with blood of our Shuhda,” he said adding that the whole nation is standing beside Pakistan Army.
Under the slogan of “Aayen Chalain Shaheed k Ghar”, the whole nation is urged by ISPR to visit the house of a martyr on the occasion of Defence Day.
On August 5, India in a unilateral move abrogated Articles 370 and 35A grating special status to occupied Kashmir. The move was followed by imposition of curfew and communication lockdown in the valley. India’s action has been condemned in Pakistan and at international level with major protests carried out in different countries.
This year, Pakistan is also commemorating Defence Day as Kashmir Solidarity Day to reaffirm the support of Pakistani nation to the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir who have been under lockdown for over a month now.
