We are proud of our martyrs and Ghazis: Firdous Ashiq Awan
In her message on the eve of Defence Day, Awan said that September 6 is the most memorable day of Pakistan’s military history.
“It is also the day of reaffirmation to make Pakistan welfare and impregnable force by reviving the spirit of unity, harmony, and brotherhood,” the special assistant said.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said Pakistan’s armed forces are fully equipped and capable to give a befitting response to any aggression of the enemy and Pakistan army will retaliate on in case of any aggression on our borders.
Referring to Defence Day, she added that this day reaffirms our resolve for the defence of the motherland against all threats.
Regarding Kashmir, the special assistant said dream of durable peace in South Asia cannot be achieved without the resolution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.
“Kashmir is Pakistan’s jugular vein and we will continue to defend the rights of Kashmiris,” she added.
Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan also visited the residence of Shaheed Lieutenant Arsalan Alam in Rawalpindi on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, she paid glowing tributes to the martyrs for rendering their lives for peace and defense of Pakistan.
She said these martyrs and their families are our pride and asset. She said these sacrifices will be written in golden words and the entire nation will always remember them.
