Shangai Masters: Andy Murray defeated by Fabio Fognini
Andy Murray lost 7-6, 2-6, 7-6 in the second round of the Shanghai Masters against Fabio Fogini.
Murray went toe-to-tie with Fognini in the first set but eventually it went to tie-break, with the Italian coming out on top. Soon Fogini took over Murray and resulted in his victory.
The match also became notable for a row between the two players with Murray eventually dismissing the bickering by telling his opponent to “shut up”.
This is Murray’s sixth singles tournament since having a hip injury but the player is confident to return to Grand Slam singles at the Australian Open in January.
