Novice Sri Lanka whitewash Pakistan in historic T20I series
Chasing a modest target of 147 runs, Pakistan managed only 134 runs in reply.
Pakistan started in similar fashion as opener Fakhar Zaman was dismissed on golden duck in the very first over. Babar and Haris Sohail tried to anchor the chase with 76 runs partnership but for doing so, they consumed 70 deliveries.
As required run-rate soared drastically, Babar and Haris threw their wickets in panic and made individual scores of 27 and 52 respectively.
Skipper Sarfraz managed 17 runs only. In the end, Pakistan fell 13 runs short of required target.
Batting first, Sri Lanka were steered to 147 runs by determined Fernando. His 78 runs on just 48 balls proved decisive.
