Umar Akmal’s misbehaviour during fitness test was ‘misunderstanding’: PCB
Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday concluded its proceedings into an alleged misconduct involving Umar Akmal during a fitness test, said the incident happened due to “misunderstanding".

A statement issued by the cricket board said, “After listening to all the parties involved, it was established that the incident happened due to a misunderstanding”.

After Umar Akmal offered his regrets for his actions, the PCB reprimanded him and also reminded him of his responsibilities as a senior cricketer, it added

“The matter is now closed. The PCB and Umar Akmal will offer no further comments.”

The controversy erupte after the cricketer reportedly resorted to misbehaviour with a trainer during a fitness test. When the trainer tried to assess the body fat of the players, he reportedy put off his clothes and said “ee where is the fat”.

Later, a complaint was lodged with the PCB to look into the matter subsequently an investigation committee was formed.
