Shadab Khan defends allegations of blackmailing Dubai-based girl with video
Lahore: Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan on Wednesday appeared before Pakistan Cricket Board anti-corruption unit to defend the allegations of blackmailing a woman.

The leg-spinner is in headlines after Ashrina Safia, a Dubai-based girl, levelled serious allegations against him in an Instagram story.

Besides listing various allegations, Safia claimed that Shadab has blackmailed her.

Quashing the rumours of her being in a relationship with the cricketer, she said: “Shadab Khan and I became close friends March 2019 and developed into something more privately in CWC19 London’.

The girl further said that she spent over $15,000 to fly to different countries “to be with him like CPL Guyana, Bangladesh, & Dubai”.

He alleged that the cricketer had hooked up with other girls after her.

Hurling the accusations of blackmailing, she wrote: “After a Pakistan journalist posted a story of us, Shadab contacted me through multiple phone numbers/accounts and threatened to leak all of my nudes if I told anyone our story”.

After the allegations surfaced, the PCB anti-corruption unit has summoned him today where he was interrogated about the accusations.

The cricketer was also reminded of his responsibilities during the hearing.

PCB sources said that players involved in unethical activities will be taken to task.
