Babar made captain too early, Kohli greatest player of all time, says Sarfraz Nawaz
Former cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz has said that it’s too early for Babar Azam to be appointed as ODI skipper, while terming Indian Captain Virat Kohli as greatest player of all times.

While giving an interview to Indian tabloid, Nawaz stated that Babar Azam should have been given more exposure.

“I think it’s too early for him to be a captain. He should have been given more exposure as a batsman and a vice-captain before giving the reins of the team. Team members respect a captain only when he is experienced and matured. Babar Azam is lacking on this front,” he said.

He also termed Indian captain Kohli as greatest player of all times.

“Virat Kohli is undoubtedly beyond comparison and I think he will certainly surpass Tendulkar on all fronts. Tendulkar was weak against swing while Kohli hardly has any flaw in his batting. Initially he faced trouble against outswingers but now he has reached the pinnacle of his batting. He has become the GOAT,” he said.

Recalling his bowling partnership under skipper Imran Khan, Nawaz told that he taught Imran Khan the art of reverse swing.

“During the tours I shared my knowledge of swing bowling with Imran, who turned out to be a very good learner,” he said.

While Khan, who is now Pakistan’s Prime Minister often meets former international players, Nawaz knows he’s unlikely to be invited given they’ve not been on talking terms for the last 30 years.
