PCB to conduct another Covid-19 test of Mohammad Hafeez
Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to conduct a test of all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez after he tested negative for Covid-19 in the second test he took in a personal capacity.

According to PCB, the second test of those players and officials, who had tested negative, will be conducted today (June 25).

Meanwhile, the players and officials, who had tested positive for COVID-19, will take another test on June 26.

The test will be conducted at a local hotel in Lahore.

On Wednesday, Mohammad Hafeez said that he has tested negative for Covid-19 after taking the second test at a private lab.

Hafeez took to Twitter to state that he got a second test done for his satisfaction and was found to be negative along with the rest of his family.

Mohammad Hafeez statement comes a day after Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed that 10 of their players in the 29-member squad for Pakistan tour tested positive for Covid-19, naming him among the 10.

The result of Hafeez’s test has cast doubts on the PCB’s tests, where 10 of the 29-member squad set to depart for England on June 28 tested positive for the virus.

Fakhar Zaman, Imran Khan, Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan and Wahab Riaz were the six other players alongside Hafeez who had tested positive yesterday after the trio of Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf and Haider Ali had tested positive on Monday.
