Amir joins Pakistan squad in Derby; Rauf clears second Covid-19 test
Lahore: Fast bowler Mohammad Amir has joined the Pakistan squad in Derby, England after clearing both Covid-19 tests.

Amir left for England from Lahore on 24 July and, as per the UK government’s guidelines, was in isolation for a period of five days during which he was tested twice.

The fast pacer’s travel to England delayed due to birth of his daughter earlier this month.

Meanwhile, fast bowler Haris Rauf has cleared his second Covid-19 test and is eligible to join the squad in England. As per the protocols he was tested twice – Monday and Wednesday.

He is expected to travel over the weekend. Details of his travel plan will be shared in due course.

The opening Test will be played at Old Trafford, Manchester, from 5-9 August, which will be followed by back to back Tests at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton, from 13-17 August and 21-25 August.

The action will then return to Manchester as Old Trafford will be the venue for three T20Is, which will be played on 28 and 30 August, and 1 September.
