Khalid Mahmood demands to highlight Kashmir, Palestine issues in Pak-England series
Islamabad: Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Khalid Mahmood has called for raising voice for Kashmiris and Palestinians in upcoming series between Pakistan and England.

In a statement, former chairman PCB said that the Pakistan cricket team should be part of other humanitarian issues besides the ‘Black Lives Matter’ campaign.

“If we can talk about Black Lives Matter, why can't we discuss the issue of Kashmir and Palestine? Along with the campaign on black community, voices should also be raised in favor of Kashmiris and Palestinians in Pak-England series,” he said.

He further said that while the slogan of Black Lives Matter was included in the West Indies-England series, the Pakistan Cricket Board had not even bothered to talk about it.

“PCB should demand solidarity on the issue of Kashmir and Palestine,” he added.

The former PCB chairman said that many agreements have been made with the Pakistani team during the tour of England.

“If England Cricket Board was asking for something, the PCB should have set some conditions

“The England Cricket Board has not yet signed up for any tour to Pakistan; however, the Pakistan Cricket Board succumbed to the aspirations of England Cricket Board,” he added.
