Malan pushes Azam down to No. 2 spot in ICC T20 batting rankings
Karachi: England’s Dawid Malan is the new man at the top of the International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings for T20I batsmen, pushing Babar Azam down to No. 2 spot.

According to an update from the ICC's Twitter account, Malan has topped the run-scoring charts in the England Vs Australia series and has jumped four places on the ICC Men's T20I Rankings.

“Dawid Malan rises to No.1. The England batsman, who topped the run-scoring charts in the #ENGvAUS series, has jumped four places on the @MRFWorldwide ICC Men's T20I Rankings,” ICC shared on twitter account.

 

Malan has a remarkable T20I record with 682 runs in 16 matches, with an average of 48.71 and a strike rate of 146.66, and one century to go with seven half-centuries.

Babar Azam is down to the second position followed by Australia's Aaron Finch and Colin Munro, as well as India's Lokesh Rahul, in the remaining top five positions.

In the latest ICC's bowling rankings, Afghanistan's Rashid Khan and Mujeeb ur Rahman maintained their positions as the top two T20 bowlers, respectively.

Pakistan's Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan were pushed down by one position coming in at eighth and ninth positions, respectively.
